Our Department has four missions:
Clinical Service; Education; Scholarly activities including research; and Advocacy.
Our faculty of over 125 pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists along with 70 residents and fellows serve the health care needs of the infants, children and adolescents of the Commonwealth of Virginia and neighboring regions of North Carolina. Our clinical home, the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, is a busy, urban, full service, free standing children's hospital with over 6500 admissions and over 55,000 ED visits per year.
