Dermatology

The Division of Dermatology includes one physician board-certified in pediatrics and dermatology, as well as fellowship-trained in pediatric dermatology.

The Division of Dermatology provides consultative and attending physician services to patients from birth to young adulthood with a variety of acute and chronic skin disorders including atopic dermatitis, acne, cutaneous infections, nevi, vitiligo, genodermatoses, vascular anomalies, and hair and nail disorders. Dr. Williams has performed minor skin surgery in the outpatient centers with local anesthesia, in the STPU with conscious sedation, and in the operating room under general anesthesia. She also has utilized the pulsed dye laser in the operating suite for the treatment of hemangiomas, vascular malformations, and extensive recalcitrant warts.

The Division holds an average of 6 clinics per week between CHKD and the satellite offices at Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Hampton. The Division participates in The Vascular Anomalies Clinic, a multi-disciplinary clinic providing consultation from Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology, and Plastic Surgery, on a monthly basis. The Division is available for inpatient and Emergency Department consultations 24 hours a day, seven days a week at CHKD.
