The
Division of Community Research and
Health
conducts community and behavioral health
research and collaborates with other
private and governmental organizations
to develop programs, provide evaluation
and collect statistical data in support
of regional public health. Research
projects range from child abuse and
child safety to school behavior and the
promotion of proper vaccine use across
the age span. The division supports
two coalitions:
1) Project
Immunize Virginia (PIV), the statewide
immunization coalition
2) Consortium for Infant and Child Health
(CINCH), the region’s premier child
health coalition with work groups
focusing on childhood obesity, health
disparities, child safety, asthma,
health insurance and immunization.
