The EVMS Department of Ophthalmology partners with the Department of Pediatrics and Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters to provide specialized care in diagnosing and treating all types of eye problems in children.  These physicians serve as a referral center for all significant pediatric eye problems in the Tidewater area of Virginia.  They provide medical student and resident eduction in pediatric ophthalmology, and actively participate in the teaching conferences of the Department of Pediatrics.  The Department of Ophthalmology also has an accredited ophthalmology resident training program.
