| Dr. Sass's principle
research interest is extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) carrying
bacteria in the hospital environment.
Current Projects: Prevalence,
acquistition, and potential transmission of ESBL (+) gram negative
bacteria in an endemic chronic care unit in the children's hospital.
This includes both microbiological and molecular fingerprinting. |
