  • Ph.D. (1985-1989) Institute of Cancer Studies, University of Birmingham, UK Cellular and molecular studies on cultured skin keratinocytes from patients with the basal cell naevus syndrome.
Research Interests
Dr. Stacey's laboratory is involved in projects related to the molecular biology of cancer and cancer treatment. Current projects include:
  • The effects of ultra-short, high intensity pulsed electric fields on cancer cell survival.
  • The effects of ultra-short, high intensity pulsed electric fields on the expression of cancer associated genes
  • Cytogenetic analysis on the mouse prostate tumor model, TRAMP.
  • Increased killing of cancer cells: Targeting DNA repair genes, in conjunction with exposure to ultra-short, high intensity electric fields
  • Increased killing of cancer cells: Targeting Cell cycle genes, in conjunction with exposure to ultra-short, high intensity electric fields
