Residency: Inpatient Rotations

As the only free standing children's hospital in the state of Virginia, CHKD attracts a wide variety of patients. CHKD interns are intrinsically involved in patient care throughout the admission process. Our interns complete the H&Ps, write orders and follow patients daily. Through our family-centered model of care, interns work directly with the attendings to deliver excellent care.

Hospitalist Team

Hematology/Oncology
2 interns, 1 PL-2 senior

Team D

Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, and Rheumatology
2 interns, 1 PL-2 senior

Night Team

3 interns, 2 PL-3 seniors
